Home and Away

Most of you know by now that today is the big day for Phil and I. Whats that you ask? Well for the ones that dont know, Phil and I are moving into our own Flat! Rented of course as the prices down here are stupid, but none the less our own. The place we will be living in is very remote not much to do which will leave me great excuses to walk along the beach or take a jog at my leisure. I like to refer to tis place as Hedge Land. There are no pubs, 1 post office, 1 bakery and 1 co op. Our backyard view is the beautiful Welsh mountains followed by the Severn river which is absolutly beautiful. We are directly on the waterfront which is definatly something different.

Our place is small but spacious and welcomes anyone who wants to expierence life in a whole different way. Of course we couldnt stay in the hedges all the time. We would grow old too fast! So we choose to work in the city and find we will be able to benefit from both natures.

Please check out my blog for future pictures. We will unfortunatly lack internet access untill they move it over, however we will be back tomorrow to get more of our stuff, and we will load some pictures in as well!

Take care everyone

Monky'n Round on Me Birthday!

May the 17th, I closed my eyes knowing that the next day would bring sagging limbs, fatter hips and the old fashion Monty Burns hump on my back. For tomorrow would bring my 22nd Birthday.

My eyes blurred as they slowly opened to see a friendly face smiling at me merely 2 inches away. I grasped onto reality quick as I knew the day had come that I Megan Lockhurst was now a 22 year old girl! (I say girl because women sounds too odd to me)! I fell off the bed with a loud thump as Phil eagerly pushed me to unwrap my presents. I slowly opened one by one each time revealing 2 plush puppy dogs and the Fabul Xbox game I wanted! Once the excitement calmed down I made my way down stairs to find yet another present on the table from Lynn and Richard. Low and behold TOBLERONE :) MMM one of my fav chocolates all wrapped up individually. I managed to eat half the box convincing myself that it was my ideal breakfast and then made myself some eggs and toast :) (See below for picture)

I ate watching 'Charmed' a show about witches as the phone rang! I answered as you do to receive a warm Happy Birthday sung by none other then my wonderful Mother! We talked for about an hour when she said she was wishing a big birthday present for me. I figured it was an ECard as I received a few of those and thanked her for the thought. My mom just laughed at me as BOOM! the door bell rang. Curious I walked to the door finding the FedEx guy with a big package for a Miss Megan Lockhurst! I was so happy to receive it I grabbed a knife and ripped into the box as fast as I could!

With a bunch of new pjs :) and 2 wonderful pictures of my sister and her fiancé, I felt on top of the world and not the hill as I had earlier that morning!

The day went on as the rain came down! I stayed inside and lounged around keeping myself occupied until Phil came home. (See Pic for Happy Lunch).

As I was playing a few Xbox games, Phil waltzed it with a Snapple (My fav) and we got ready to go to dinner. With one quick stop to the mall, we grabbed Phil a sorely needed new belt and we were off!

We strolled over to a wonderful place called Frankie's and Benny's! The lady wouldn’t let Phil make reservations during the day so we ended up waiting about a half an hour, however the service was amazing!

We decided to start things off with a little thing I like to call Potato Skins! They were ok, not the greatest I’ve ever had but what yea ganna do! My feast was a 12oz steak...delish! while Phil slopped up a juicy bbq chicken pizza!

We drove back home both very satisfied. Needing gas Phil dropped me off and took off again only to surprise me with a chocolate cake :) He made a funny joke just as I was about to blow out the candles and I laughed so hard I blew out 2 on the whole cake! Talk about your weak lungs!

Anyway I’ve written enough for now, so go onto Phil’s blog to check out the rest of my birthday extravaganza! It includes monkey’s haha!....Hence the name!

So thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday :) Its not every day you turn 22!

And that has been a Megan’s Perspective!

The Wheels on the Bus!

From then till now everything seems to consist of Threes!
A skimpy batch of bananas, an oreo cookie (layers and middle!), the Tesco's juice selection with the 3 for one price tag, and the infomous bad luck chain that seems to catch up to each and every one of us time after time.

Yes my friends, I to have fallen victim the bad omen of 3. It begins 3 weeks ago as Phils mom flew into England. Oh yes the 3 hour drive we took to get her and us to Hatfield Heath is a long and boring one at that. We arrived there and left a few days later to head into traffic on the three hour journey back.

Week two brought no more joy as once again we were back on the road Friday night for the 3 hour road trip back to GeeGees house. Phils dad would be flying in the next day and Phil was going to pick him up! I decided to stick back at GeeGees house to sleep as I knew we would be travelling alot while we were down there. The weekend went fine and we packed up to head back when we noticed BOOM! Some jerky little brat had taken a nail or something sharm to the side window of our car and scribbled circles around and around in one area! Upset at this but knowing we could not do anything about it, we headed back to Bristol for the three hour tour arriving 11 oclock ish.

Week three.. boy what a week this one was! One last time we took the three hour tour back to GeeGees to pick up our good friend Mike from Heathrow Airport. Mike is doing a Contiki tour and decided to fly over early to see us. We all had alot of fun in London but it exhausted everyone, not to mention a few blisters on my poor little feet lol :) Everything was fine but by the time we got back to Bristol again we were so tiered that we could of just screamed and beat up someone lol :)

Finally now though, thigns are starting to ease out, settle down. I took my first bus ride into the city today all by myself to surprise Phil for lunch. The weather was absolutly gorgeous, it was def short weather! I have my second Job interview tomorrow with a company that is really interested in me, and Phil and I are apartment searching on Saturday :)

So I guess the moral of the story is even though things generaly happen in threes, the wheels on the bus will keep turning and eventually your luck will change

and that has been
A Megans Perspective
