That's a Whammy of a Hammy

Call the papers, helicopters,
Tell the neighbors and the doctors,
Good ol Mom's lock up your daughters
Theres a Gilly girl in town.

Not a kitty or a puppy,
Not a birdie or a guppy,
She’s a fury little girlie,
And she loves to run around.

She's a spoiled little baby
Kamikaze she is maybe
In her wheel she'll drive you crazy
Cheers you up when you feel down.

She may not be a big ol lamby
And her name may not be Sammy
She is my Whammy of a Hammy....

So good!

You may think 'So good' wasn’t the best way to end this poem.... But it’s my poem so go eat your words you critical people!
This hamster is one of a kind, yet have you ever noticed how all hamsters have different personalities.
If you shake her, she will not wake up. She pulls the old I’m dead routine so you will leave her alone. The only way you know she is alive is that you see her fuzzy fur moving up and down as she breathes. Then when she does wake up, she looks at you with the truest look of disgust on her little face. It’s really quite amusing!
Did you know that hamsters can jump and climb? We now have to watch her because it doesn’t matter how high you are she will jump from a good 2 feet in the air and land on the ground, talk about your hamster pancake. She is definitely interesting though. Her name is Gilly, named after a Holly Oaks (British show) character. Why you ask? It may be the long shaggy hair, or the craziness in there attitudes, or just the fact they are both British. Either way she fits the description.
