Life on the Other side of the Puddle!

Mr. Ryan Chin, Please come down... You’re the next contestant on the VISIT MEGAN AND PHIL IN ENGLAND show! Mr. Chin, came from Canada to go to Tokyo about 2 weeks ago today. Ryan loves the fish n chips down here (Pictures coming soon). He noticed the seeping cold and the lingering rain around him everywhere he goes. From county to country the three of us embarked on a memorable road trip that will be imprinted in our minds forever. (We got the tape to prove it)

So the price may not be right here, however with the higher wages to be earned it sure takes away some of the currency burns you defiantly notice on the billboards of society. I've been pondering on life lately noticing that it really sucks when out of the blue BRING BRING, who is it calling on the other end of the line..? My savior! No other then Aecom (UMA, the firm Phil worked for in Canada). Success! With one smooth interview and amazing job offer, Phil and I are now moving ourselves to Bristol City. The drug capital of England, The city of music and nicely one supporting some of the best Colleges and Uni's around! Here I will take advertising while Phil works and takes side courses to improve his knowledge and push forward his degree in Engineering!

Finally things are looking up. Although are travels will be put off for a few years to come, we will still do weekend trips, 4 day holiday trips and of course the Great Canadian trips! For a wise character once said in her black and white world... 'There’s no Place like Home Anti Em, There’s no place like Home!

And that’s been a Megan’s Perspective!

Hey I hope you guys show Ryan a good time!

Some other interesting facts about Bristol:
• Home of the Concorde and a handful of WWI and WWII fighter planes.
• They speak like Newfies.
• Stalin's daughter used to live there.
• Home of Banksy, infamous grafitti artist.
• John Cabot sailed from Bristol in 1497 and discovered Newfoundland. (Thanks a lot, eh?)
• Discovery of laughing gas.
• Home of Roni Size, Tricky, Massive Attack and Portishead. (ahem... "Drug Capital of England"...)
• Wallace and Gromit, need I say more?

Actually I work not far from the wallace and grommit studios. It had a fire not to long ago and they lost a ton of their old art work from the early years. Bristol also has the S.S. Great Britan docked on the river Avon and is now a meuseum.
